QUÉ ES RUTA ALEGRÍA?
Ruta alegría es un proyecto iniciado por tres jóvenes con el deseo de cambiar el rumbo de nuestras vidas y el de alguien más. Consiste en visitar varios orfanatos a lo largo de la República Mexicana llevando un cine-móvil educativo y música para alegrar.
El objetivo final es recolectar (y publicar en internet) información sobre las necesidades más esenciales de estos orfanatos, algunos desconocidos por la mayoría de la gente.
WHAT IS RUTA ALEGRIA?
Ruta Alegria is a project initiated by three young people with a big desire to change just a little bit the direction of our lifes and hopefully someone else's. We will be visiting many unknown orphanages in Mexico, trying to recollect information (and publishing it in the Internet) about the essential needs of these orphanages. While we do it, we'll bring an eduative movile cinema and music to enjoy with the kids.
EL SENTIMIENTO QUE INICIÓ TODO La idea Ruta Alegria surgio del sentimiento de querer hacer algo; de querer dar algo de nosotros a los demas, de cansarse de estar en un mundo tan injusto y sentir como la costumbre y la comodidad nos vuelve tan indiferentes al dolor de los demas, de querer alimentar ese sentimiento que tenemos todos por ayudar y que se vuelve tan insignificante a causa del ritmo estresante que llevamos, de cambiar la mentalidad de no involucrarnos en nada mientras no nos afecte directamente, de dejar de justificar nuestra inmovilidad hacia tanto dolor y sufrimiento pensando que el mundo ya es asi y que no podemos hacer nada.
THE FEELING THAT MOVED US The idea of this project began because we wanted to give something back, because we got tired of all the wrong things that are happening in the world, the individuality of the people and the stressful rhythm of life, and the feeling that we don't care about others because it does not affect us directly, and the sadness of how we justify our indifference thinking that it's the way it's supposed to be.
PORQUÉ ESTE PROYECTO? En la vida de un nino o nina, no hay nada mas importante que el amor y la alegria. Los ninos de los orfanatos que visitamos provienen de familias desestructuradas o no tienen familia. En su corta vida han sufrido pasados muy duros. Algunos han sido abandonados, obligados a trabajar o a pedir en las calles por falta de recursos y marginalidad. En muchos casos han sido abusados fisicamente o sexualmente por familiares, y la mayoria no tienen a nadie que se preocupe por ellos. Los orfanatos son ahora su hogar donde estan en proceso de recuperacion por los traumas pasados, aprendiendo a confiar en la gente y a REIR de nuevo. El proyecto Ruta Alegria consiste en llevar un proyector, una pantalla, una maquina de hacer palomitas y refrescos, y pasar una pelicula a modo de cine. Llevaremos un repertorio de peliculas para que ellos escojan, peliculas divertidas/alegres y con un mensaje educativo (como el valor de la amistad, lo importante de ser uno mismo o lo bello que es creer en la magia). Despues querriamos tocar algunas canciones y poner musica para hacer una pequeña fiesta. El evento dura unas pocas horas por la manana o por la tarde, en las que romperemos con la rutina de los niños y ellos disfrutaran de algo a lo que no estan acostumbrados, de un cine en su propia casa!
WHY THIS PROJECT? There is nothing more important for a kid (and for most of the human race), specially when is growing, than to recive love and happiness. Most of the kids that we are visiting come from a destructed family or they don't have one at all. In such a short life they have been abused (sometimes even by their own family), extortionated (obligated to work or ask for money in the streets) or abandoned (in the orphanages or the street when baby's). But luckily there are orphanages where they're learning how to laugth, live and trust people again. The project consists on taking a projector and a big screen, sound system, a popcorn machine, some flavored water drinks and some funny and educational movies with a message of how important is to believe in honesty, love, friendship and magic. in the meantime we have some musical instruments to make some music with them or for them. Our aim is to brake their routine bringing some party and a cinema at home!
